The fellow that was kind enough to let me into their shop was working on a mast at the time. He explained the fabrication process, the different cutter heads that they use on their shaper, and the gluing process. Interesting stuff for me.
At any rate his voice was like a murmur, as I couldn’t get over the history in those two saws, the carpenters that had used them, and the amounts of sawdust they had made. The other tools of note was their shaper of course which just looked terrifying, an amazing old table saw which I believe was a delta, and a jointer that was equally amazing. There was an amazing amount of eye candy for me in here. I felt like I was bothering the guy that was trying too work, but he assured me that I wasn’t.
I thought to myself, “Seeing all this history really made my week, one of these days Wall Woodworks will contain beasts like these!”
