A coffered ceiling can add style and grace to any room. The effect is amazing and there are so many different variations. I have seen artists paint murals and natures scenes in the squares. You can use any shape as well; squares, rectangles, ellipses, circles etc. The actual crown molding and other moldings can be mocked up in a model or sample to give ideas as to what the final product would look like. There can be two tone, just paint, or paint and stain. Your imagination is the limit.
In this example the boxes were set up in a symmetrical grid. Once all of the assembly was completed we sprayed two coats of primer and three coats of semi-gloss white. To the right is a photo right before the first coat of semi-gloss went on.
