This little sitting bench was made for the end of a bed to put shoes on in the morning. The top cushion is re-purposed and came from a previous bench. The leaf molding around the top perimeter was added to match the existing furniture in the room. The furniture was all knotty pine so that is the material that was used. The legs are 2 inch square and have a 3/8″ round over all around. The legs and rails are mortise and tenon construction with cleats underneath supporting the base. The top does raise and lower for hidden storage.
